# DOJ Office of Information Policy Announces Spring FOIA Training Schedule
The Department of Justice's Office of Information Policy announced new Freedom of Information Act training dates for April through July 2026. The virtual courses, taught in real-time by OIP instructors, are designed for federal employees at all experience levels, from entry-level staff to experienced FOIA professionals and managers.
Nine training courses are scheduled throughout the spring and summer, covering topics including FOIA fundamentals, request processing, litigation, administrative appeals, and specific exemption categories. Registration will open one month before each course date through WebEx, with attendees required to use their government email addresses. The sessions are limited to federal employees and contractors.
OIP offers the training as part of its mandate to promote agency compliance with the FOIA. Additional information and registration links are available on OIP's training page, and agencies may request customized training sessions tailored to their specific needs.
